“At first an ordeal and then an accomplishment, the daily run becomes a staple, like bread, or wine, a fine marriage, or air. It is also a free pass to friendship”.

It’s getting closer to race day!! It was a solid training week, hot days, yoga, golf and a few runs with good friends. It still amazes me how well you can get to know someone on a good long run.
Monday: My legs were still pretty tired from the 9 miles last Sunday so I swam.
Tuesday: YOGA
Wednesday: 30 minute run with the Hubs on the trails. Found out I definitely don’t know the trails as well as I thought I did…thanks for having a great sense of direction babe J
Thursday: Hit up a 4 mile trail run with a good running friend. She knows the trails like the back of her hand and couldn’t even figure out where I got us lost yesterday.
Friday: OFF
Saturday: Golf outing for JBD. Notes to self; golf is actually fun (for about 6 holes), wear a sports bra and make sure you pack plenty of beer and 8 year olds to take your spot when you get bored.
Sunday: 10 miles on the road with NH. It was a great run to catch up with her and talk about life.  I’m glad I had her to pull me along the last 2 miles. I’m blaming the heat for finally getting to me. But as she told me, “you have to have bad runs, to have great runs”. Uhgg, my legs are still sore today.
We’ve got a fun run planned for Saturday of this week so maybe I’ll have some good pictures to share!!!
Oh, and everyone should go read JT’s post about saving paper coffee cups!! I know some of you reading get a new paper cup almost every day…now you’ll think about bringing your own damn cup!!
