More Kids Riding More Bikes

This post is part of Think Kit by SmallBox, today’s prompt:  “If money, time or other commitments were no obstacle in 2014, what would you do? Describe your vision!”

I’ve already been pursuing my passion these last few years, but if money, time or other commitments were no obstacle in 2014–it would be to expand my vision of Nine13sports and Kids Riding Bikes throughout Central Indiana.  I want to see it in more schools, working with more students and better represented in the community.

3-2-1 Go!

Nine13sports is the non-profit I founded and have steered forward over the past few years.  The goal is pretty simple, utilize bicycles to engage kids for health and fitness.  My passion in life is to work with kids and promote life long fitness concepts that can change their lives, and the bicycle is the best tool to deliver that message.

Why the bicycle?  It’s the equalizer, it allows kids of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and experiences and creates a relatively level playing field.  We built some awesome programs at Nine13, things that I am incredibly proud of and that in many ways, were before their time when we launched programming.

So what would I do in 2014?  I’d find ways to make some of my current goals work.  I’d love to see further success in the crowdfunding concept we launched, even if it doesn’t hit its full goal we’ll still be providing the programs.
