Party Time with the Purple Elephant
October 17, 2011Even though we didn’t get to spend the weekend with this guy;
we still had a good weekend. Truly enjoying the fall weather, time with new “family” and relaxing.
We were extremely sad to hear the news of Dan Wheldon’s death and our hearts go out to his family. We watched the 5 memorial laps that the drivers did in his honor after his death was announced and wow, it was powerful. I guess Tom has turned me into an Indy Car fan J

I ran 17 miles on Sunday, yea never thought that one was possible! It definitely helps to have great running partners to push and encourage along the way.

Now to the purple elephant…I know we touched on some pretty heavy, hard hitting topics last week. Trust me, I had to reread it a few times to still fully process that those ugly facts have become our life. And while we try not to breathe those harsh realities 24/7, we can’t fully escape them and honestly, I’m not sure we ever will. We started this blog to share our life and our journey with family, friends and whoever else chooses to read.
Trust me when I say, we wish we could share how care free our life is and how we’re just the everyday run of the mill newlywed couple, but we all know we’re not and never will be. So while I can’t promise the topics on our blog will always have warm fuzzy feelings, I can promise you that we will share the truth of our life and what we’re currently going through, no matter how horrible.
And now for another puppy picture because puppies can always put a smile on your face!!!
